Frequently Asked Questions
During your 50 minute appointment, you will meet with a coach to create a personalized well-being plan. These plans will help shape your well-being goals, identify your motivations for change, and provide resources to support you along the way.
Before your appointment, we invite you to reflect on your personal well-being and bring any questions or discussion points you may have with you. This is your time, and we want it to be as useful to you as possible.
We also encourage students to think about the privacy of their space before their appointment, as some of the content discussed may be sensitive.
Counseling typically occurs over a longer period of time, providing a space to dive deeper into the underlying causes of your concerns. It also takes a clinical approach. Students have access to free counseling through University Counseling Services or Timely Care. However, well-being coaching is solution-focused and short term. It specifically focuses on the process of identifying well-being goals and creating a plan for change.
