Your membership at VCU Recreation and Well-Being gives you access to award-winning recreational facilities and a wide variety of programming.
You are also part of the dynamic and diverse VCU community! Your membership not only contributes to your personal wellness but also helps ensure continued access to facilities and programs that help VCU students build a lifetime of wellness.
Your member benefits include:
- Full access to all facilities
- Free group exercise classes
- Special member rates on most fee-based programs and services
- Access to Day Use lockers, locker rentals, and towel subscriptions
- Ability to sponsor an Additional Adult and Minor Dependents
Overview of Membership Types
Full membership includes full access to RecWell facilities and programs during all open hours.
RamExpress Membership is a discounted rate for non-student members who wish to purchase restricted access to our facilities between 5:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m Mondays through Fridays and all day on Saturday and Sunday at a discount of 30% from their standard membership category rate.
If you hold a RamExpress membership you are not be able to participate in programs or services that occur beyond your RamExpress access-time eligibility.
Recreation and Well-Being members may sponsor one additional person over the age of 18 from their household as an Additional Adult member for a fee. Qualifying adults include a roommate or one adult family member in the same household (spouse, partner) over the age of 18. Sponsors will be required to show either:
- Proof of residency (includes, but is not limited to, utility bills, credit card statements, checking account statements, checks, etc)
- Proof of dependency (includes, but is not limited to, adoption certificates, health care insurance information, or tax returns)

VCU RecWell accepts all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, along with Apply Pay.
We do not accept cash, or checks.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS & PRICES
Fee-Paying
Students who pay the "University Fee" as part of their tuition structure receive access to RecWell facilities and programs at no additional cost. This includes students from both the MCV Campus and Monroe Park Campus, full-time, part-time, graduate, and undergraduate students. Fee-Paying students for fall semesters receive access through winter break at no additional charge. Fee-Paying students for spring semesters receive access through the summer semester at no additional charge. Note: faculty, staff, or senior citizens who utilize University tuition waivers do not receive complimentary access to RecWell facilities or programs.
Non Fee-Paying
Currently enrolled non-fee paying students may join on a semester basis; fall, spring, and summer.

MEMBERSHIP ADD-ON'S
We want all RecWell patrons to feel comfortable using our facilities. In addition to our Men's and Women's Locker Rooms, RecWell has a gender-inclusive restroom in the Aquatics Center hallway on the basement level that is equipped with a shower and changing area. Members who want to store their items can also request a locker rental in the space outside of the main locker rooms on the basement level by contacting the Member Services team at recwell@vcu.edu. Free Day-Use lockers are available throughout the facility for everyone to use.
